Dough Zone is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT System Administrator to join our growing technical team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT infrastructure, system administration, network operations, and endpoint support. This role will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our IT systems, with a strong emphasis on hands-on support, travel to restaurant locations, and occasional off-hour availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level IT support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Deploy and maintain POS systems across restaurant locations.
- Manage and administer Windows, macOS, and associated network devices (routers, switches, access points).
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network infrastructure (TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls).
- Manage Active Directory, user/group permissions,
- Maintain and support mobile devices and CCTV systems.
- Perform regular system monitoring, backups, OS patching, and security assessments.
- Install, rebuild, and configure hardware and software to meet business needs.
- Serve as an escalation point for IT incidents and requests.
- Document procedures and maintain accurate IT hardware/software inventory.
- Provide technical support during off-hours when needed to ensure 24/7 operational continuity.
- Travel frequently to restaurant locations for infrastructure projects and maintenance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 2+ year equivalent work experience considered.
- Proficiency with:
- Windows and macOS
- Microsoft 365, Google Workspace
- Network protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, etc.
- POS systems: Toast, Square, Oracle, Clover
- Experience with server and network monitoring, backup, and patch management tools.
- Hands-on experience with firewall and switch configuration and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Willingness to work variable shifts, including weekends, holidays, and travel across multi-state regions.
- Office-based with periodic field work experiences at restaurant locations.
- Must be able to lift equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Availability for on-call support during emergencies or major outages.
